PEP undertakes a cycle of Travel Events

Over the spring and summer months the Travel Planning Team at PEP hosts special Travel Events at the new housing developments they’re involved in. They play an important role in encouraging residents to consider alternative travel options to the car.

One of these Travel Events was recently held for clients at Saxon Gate, in Leonard Stanley, near Stroud. PEP secured the services of Dr Bike from Life Cycle UK for the day. And the qualified mechanic was kept busy carrying out free bicycle safety-checks and servicing key components. This included adjusting or replacing brake blocks, tuning gears and fixing punctures.

Will, Helen, and Pippa from PEP distributed free reflective travel bands, which were a great hit with their younger visitors. And they also provided residents with advice on useful travel apps, handed out travel leaflets, and helped plan bus journeys to various destinations, including local community groups.
