Travel Plan
Co-ordinator

 

Location: Bristol office / client sites UK wide

Employment type: Full time/Part time

Anticipated start: ASAP

 

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Travel Plan Co-ordinator to join our Travel Plan team. Targets for sustainable, active travel are agreed with local Planning Authorities when housing developments and places of work are going through the planning permission process. It is the job of the team to devise the Travel Plans and then monitor them, make changes as necessary, survey and advise residents and employees on transport options including personal travel planning, timetables, initiatives and organise travel events etc.

We’re a busy team, particularly over the summer months, when we promote travel plans at local community events.

Responsibilities

The role of the Travel Plan team is to devise and implement initiatives for reducing dependence on car travel, such as walking, jogging, cycling, public transport and car sharing. You would be particularly involved in:

  • Assisting with the preparation of Travel Plan documents and updating existing Plans
  • Organising Travel Planning events including co-ordinating with clients and local community groups
  • Delivering travel information and associated material door-to-door
  • Surveying residents and employees to understand their travel plan requirements, and assess success of initiatives
  • Behaviour change campaigns, and promotional activities including attending local events, during the spring and summer months in particular
  • Researching bus and train service timetables
  • Assisting with engaging with organisations about routes for cycling, walking and bus services
  • Social media messaging for local groups

Requirements

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Available and willing to work weekends over the summer from time to time
  • Ability to travel between client sites
  • Travel Planning experience desirable but not essential as training can be given.
