PEP attends annual Bristol Property Agents’ Association Dinner
A group from PEP attended the 76th annual Bristol Property Agents’ Association dinner on Thursday 23rd February 2023. It was held at Ashton Gate Stadium, home to Bristol Bears Rugby Union team and Bristol City Football Club.
And sport was very much the theme of the night, as the guests were treated to an entertaining after dinner speech by Martin Bayfield, ex England and British Lions rugby union forward. He’ll be familiar to anyone who regularly watches BT Sport and ITV Sport – and Crimewatch and Celebrity MasterChef! Martin recounted his experiences on and off the rugby pitch, and it was clear why one year he tried out his comedic skills at the Edinburgh Fringe.
Martin shared his thoughts on the difference between football and rugby. He took us back to the World Cup in France in 1998 and England’s game against Argentina when David Beckham was sent off. And the next day when England played South Africa in Johannesburg and a ‘minor altercation’ occurred between two opposing players. You need to watch Youtube (0:52 seconds in) to get the full story…
We all took part (unsuccessfully) in the Heads and Tails competition, which was supporting Feeding Bristol, the chosen charity of the outgoing President, Simon Price. The charity chosen by the incoming President, Rob Russell, is Children’s Hospice South West.
The guest list was made up of property agents, law firms, housebuilders, property developers, engineering firms and more. And many friends and associates of PEP were present on the night. It was good to catch up with so many people in one place.
We look forward the 77th Annual Bristol Property Agents’ Association Dinner in 2024.
