PEP provides Road Safety Audits for major and minor highway schemes and developments throughout the UK, in accordance with the requirements of the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges GG119.
We carry out these independent evaluations of new or improved highway designs at various stages during the design process and following construction. We consider the safety of all road users, particularly vulnerable users such as pedestrians and pedal cyclists. And we identify any aspects of the design that could give rise to road safety problems, recommending measures that would eliminate or mitigate the issues raised.
Our services are available to both private and public sector clients on the local and strategic road network. We offer the full range of Road Safety Auditing services:
Stage 1 – Road Safety Audit (Preliminary Design)
Stage 2 – Road Safety Audit (Detailed Design)
Stage 3 – Road Safety Audit (Scheme Completion)
Stage 4 – Road Safety Audit (Review Post Opening Monitoring)
