Filton, Shield Retail Centre – Development of student accommodation for 99 students

Pending S106, the development of student accommodation has been permitted on the site of a former Brewers Fayre pub at the Shield Retail Centre in Filton, South Gloucestershire. PEP was originally appointed at the feasibility stage to redevelop the former South Gloucestershire Shield House College building to the retail park which is present today, and with each subsequent Phase we have considered a number of feasibility options considering layout, traffic, parking and servicing. We were able to confirm that the latest proposals would not have an impact on the operation of the wider retail park in terms of traffic and parking.READ MORE

PEP’s Transport Statement helps win planning permission for affordable homes in Nailsea

In June 2021 North Somerset Council granted permission for an affordable housing scheme for Alliance Homes in Nailsea. The scheme will transform an existing garage site into four residential apartments for affordable rent tenure. Planning permission granted for Elm Park Primary School, South Glos

PEP was appointed by South Gloucestershire Council to assist with the proposals to provide a new £4.9 million school building on the existing Elm Park Primary School site. Permission was successfully granted in September 2020.READ MORE

Appeal win for residential development, Somerset

Peter Evans Partnership was appointed by Stonewater Housing Association, which operates across 140 local authorities, after the original planning application for a residential development in Merriott was refused by South Somerset District Council.

Merriott is a village near Crewkerne in Somerset. The proposed Stonewater development comprises 39 homes on a greenfield site, of which 14 are classed as affordable. A total of 93 parking spaces will be provided, with the homes ranging from two to five bedrooms.
